Sounds familiar, right?? It's a line in Kamikazee's song entitled: 1ST DAY HIGH. Well, BACK TO SCHOOL NA GID YA.. di na mapunggan. It's really OFFICIAL! No extension! No more waking up late in the morning! :(
Since, it's the 1st day.. our schedule for this day was not hectic nor loaded. Yey! At least maka ginhawa pa kami.
Upon entering the school grounds, I saw many NEW faces and OLD faces, too. Syempre, pag mai new, there would also be old. ;)
I'm HAPPY I've seen my HANDSOME and BEAUTIFUL classmates, Yey! 2B! So happy, wala kami gin shuffle! And our adviser is still OUR VERY OWN & LOVELY Mrs.Nadia Bisnar. We started the opening of class with a morning prayer and flag ceremony, afterwards we all went to our respective classrooms. Naga ginamo lng kmi then chika2x with our friends. Our adviser came to the room and had our homeroom orientation. Ma'am also gave us our general average for the whole 1st yr. period. [including the 1st,2nd sem & summer class]. I garnered an average of 89.2, I'm the No.6 in our classroom. Though I don't expect this. I'm very delighted at least my hard work paid off. :)
Then we had our election of new set of officers for S.Y. 09-10 in our classroom. And guess what?! I'm was nominated for Class President.. and .. WON!! I said what??!!??
The scenario:
Ma'am Nadia: Ok, who's the class secretary?
All: Javea!
Ma'am Nadia: Ok, Jav. Go to the board, we will start the election for new set of officers in our class.
[Me, walking to the board, then there was not chalk.]
Me: Ma'am, excuse me. There's no chalk..
Ma'am Nadia: Pangita na lang sa iban nga section.
Me: Ok. [Went to the 2C, but they ran out of chalk. Then Ma'am Cordenillo, Our C.I. passed by and I approached her.. If she had a chalk in there class. Ma'am Cordenillo was so nice to me, she gave me 1.]
[Then, I hurried back to the classroom.] After that.. nomination begins..
Ma'am Nadia: Nomination for class president is now open.
Lourence: I nominate Javea for class president.
May: I nominate Jeekyl.
Ryan: I nominate Darling.
Then, mai speech pa.. To all who have been nominated. First, ako..
I was shy at first.. But I said.
Me: Classmates, Good morning! haha.
I cannot promise you anything now, But if ever elected. "Ubrahon ko ang wala na ubra ni Allan"..
[Oh Boy! Everyone started to laugh and clap, as if they cheered someone talking funny things!] Even our adviser laughed too.
Me: I really can't promise now, but.. "Ipadayon ko na lang ang naumpisahan ni Allan".
That's how I got votes and won the Position. haha. Funny noh? I really felt the PRESSURE afterwards winning. I wanted to decline before the situation but.. I said to myself that.. "I don't want to give a cold shoulder to my classmates who really sees me as a good leader".. that's why I did'nt decline, though I'm wishing that I would LOSE and just have a lower spot at the officer's list. But, I suddenly realize after getting many votes that.. "These people do really have faith and believe in me." Kaya, I will do all my best to be a good president to them. Though I still need to have guidance, I never experienced handling a class. Coz I always get the secretary spot last yr, though I was nominated for class president that time but loss. My friends, will guide me as I take this BIG RESPONSIBILITY ahead and also seeking encouragements & advices to our former president: Allan, who's now far away from us. [Bakit ka pa ba, nag shift..] PASAN ko tanan nga ulubrahon kag problema sang amon class. As Allan said: Ako na ang ma penitensya.. It's really NOT A JOKE to be a Class President. Daw "slave" ka sa classroom, promise!
